cSpecial order Winchester model 1892 carbine, .44-40 caliber, smooth bore, blue and nickel finish, smooth uncheckered pistol grip stock, with Winchester pistol grip cap, rifle butt, nickel plated, no saddle ring, carbine sights and bands. Serial #992168. Assembly or special order number 83 by bottom of frame near lever. The barrel shows factory smoothbore marking, and the barrel and magazine tube show approx. 97-99% original blue. The frame, bolt, and buttplate show 95-98% soft unpolished factory nickel finish, the lever shows 90-95% bright case hardening. The hammer shows 90% original blue. The stocks are fine to near excellent with a couple of minor dings, mars, scratches in the varnish, particularly on the forend, but are at least very good plus to near fine and show a select grain with a light color. A similar smoothbore carbine with initials AT on frame. Close in number to this carbine was made for Ad Topperwein. Probably made on special order for a trick shooter. Est: $9,000 - $14,000

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
