Yawman & Erbe Oak Stacking Filing Cabinet
This lot features a very fine "Y & E" - Yawman and Erbe quarter sawn oak, stacking filing cabinet. This is a six piece cabinet manufactured in the early 1900's and likely distributed by the "Eastman-James CO. INC." out of Spokane WA. This piece displays elegant brass hardware, with a three drawer note card filing system crowning the cabinet, the top filing drawers contain beautiful and functional copper dividers. Below the filing drawers lay a set of three swing cabinets that are home to a lock system which sits on both sides of each cabinet segment. The inset cabinets are complimented by ridged brass knobs and a hinging latch system that keeps your doors closed. This fantastic example of early century craftsmanship and ingenuity measures to 4' 7 3/4" tall, 2' 1" deep, and 2' 9" wide.
