Manufactured in 1942, shipping records show that this pistol was 1 of 1,000 pistols shipped to the Commanding General, Springfield Armory on June 10, 1942. Fixed sights, with the two line, two block address/patent marking with the Rampant Colt in the center on the left side of the slide and "P" on top ahead of the rear sight. The left side of the frame is marked with the boxed "W.B." inspection stamp behind the trigger, "P" just below the magazine release and the left upper front of the trigger guard is marked with an upside down "W", the triangle "VP" proof with "60" on the right side. Blue barrel marked "G" ahead of the lug. The right side of the frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY / No 786655" and "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY". Checkered wide spur hammer, trigger, slide stop, thumb safety and arched mainspring housing. Blue unmarked magazine and fitted with brown plastic checkered grips and lanyard ring on the heel.

Condition: Fine as Arsenal refurbished. The pistol retains 95% thin parkerized finish with some edge wear, some scattered light thinning and overall some scattered minor scratches and scuffs. The grips are excellent with sharp checkering. Crisp and clear markings. Mechanically excellent.
