Wood cased antique English percussion 6-shot bar hammer pepperbox pistol by Leech of Chelmsford, .38 cal., 3” barrels, brown finish, engraved frame with silver finish, checkered wood grips, #NVSN. This gun is in overall fine condition showing the majority of its original finishes, crisp engraving and markings, very good bores, crisp action, fine grips with some old compressions to the right grip, British proofed. Casing is overall very good with some scattered wear on the exterior, an old crack beginning on the left front edge and the initials “JG” inscribed on the lid’s inlaid rectangular metal plaque. The interior of the case is overall very good with older re-lining, very good air seal and modern accessories of Remington cap tin, a metal circular empty container, lead balls and a brass CVS powder flask. A really nice large frame English pepper box and casing that would benefit from the addition of period accessories. Est.: $600-$1,200.
