Winchester model 1894 special order rifle, .30-30 caliber, 24” rapid taper lightweight “pencil” barrel, button mag, Lyman #21 receiver sight, lyman front sight, standard stocks with factory hard-rubber buttplate, serial #149478, made about 1899. The barrel 75-85% original blue, some areas of spotting and erosion and a couple of areas of thumbprint size pitting toward the front of the muzzle. The markings are sharp, the edges are good, the frame shows 20-40% blue. The hammer and lever show traces of case hardening. The stocks are good to very good with some loss of varnish, normal wear and use. The original dovetail is filled with a blank, the action is crisp, the bore excellent. The taper on the barrel is radical and easy to detect and the outside dimensions of the barrel are less than 1/2 at the muzzle. A significant and desirable variation for the 94 collector. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
