Winchester model 1894 special order rifle, .30-30 caliber, 24” light weight tapered barrel, takedown frame, half magazine, checkered pistol gripped plain stock, hardrubber buttplate, Winchester repeatingarms grip cap, Lyman type tang sight, three-leaf folding rear sight with “45W” marked Marbles sight in original front dovetail. Serial #26941, made about 1895-96. The barrel shows 80-90% thinning originalblue finish, sharp edges, good markings, a couple of minor scratches and marks, just normal aging> The frame shows 50-70% blue drifting to patina with some minor scratches. The takedown collar has drifted to patina.The forend cap shows 50% blue as does the takedown lever and short magazine. There are a few small marks on the bottom of the barrel from being taken down. The stocks are very good plus with just some normal wear, slightscratches, good checkering, good wood to metal fit. The hard-rubber buttplate shows Winchester logo. The hammer and lever show strong case of case hardening within patina. The action is good, the bore very good. The
