Winchester model 1892 special order takedown rifle, .44-40 caliber, 24” round barrel, full magazine, select plain wood stocks, in near fine original condition, serial #18359. Circa approx. 1893-94. The rifle retains approx. 90-95% original blue on barrel, some small marks, scratches from storage. The magazine tube shows 75-85% original blue, normal scratches from takedown. The frame shows 90-95% original blue, some thinning at the edges. The takedown collar shows 75% original blue. The forend cap shows 90% original blue. The hammer and lever show 80-90% case hardening. The stocks show a slight burl grain, possibly 1X, and show 30-50% varnish, some even loss, and normal aging, just slight scratches, excellent wood to metal fit. The buttplate shows 75-85% fiery original case hardening. The markings are sharp, the edges are crisp, the rear sight elevator is missing, the bores are near excellent. The nicest pre-1898 model 92 we have seen in a decade. Est: $8,000 - $12,000

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
