Winchester model 1890, .22 short caliber, blue and case hardened frame, takedown, serial #92688. The barrel and magazine tube show 85-95% blue drifting on the edges and slightly toning, some minor scratches, some just beginning minor areas of erosion and some areas of pinprick pitting just starting. The markings are sharp and crisp, the frame shows 30-50% case hardening with some drifting and toning. The center portion of the left frame shows some pinprick pitting and light cleaning in that area. There are some smaller areas of pinprick pitting on right side and bottom that are more minor. There is some good strong rainbow colors mixed in and showing where protected. The stocks are very good plus to near fine with some minor storage scratches, mars, minor bumps, most of their original finish, and a good light original color. The buttplate shows 20-30% smoky case hardening with some faint colors still visible. The rear sight dovetail shows a two-leaf folding Lyman sight and a Lyman bead front sight in the front dovetail. The bolt shows 90% original blue, the action is good, the bore is good. These casehardened 90’s are hard to fine and get very expensive when in higher condition.
