Winchester model 1887, 10ga, lever-action shotgun, barrel shortened to 24”, blue and case hardened finish, standard wood stocks, with documentation as belonging to famous Western lawman Jeff Milton. Notarized letter dated Sept. 3, 1971, states th 1887 Winchester #33340 was given to me by my friend Mr. Jeff Milton of the state of Arizona along with some other guns in the year 1935 or 36. The letter states that Mr. Milton was a close personal friend and I held with high regard as a man and a peace officer. Signed Earl Fallis. Notarized W. G. Several letters written by Earl Fallis to noted Texas/New Mexico gun collector and rancher John Wilson relates the story of this gun and how Fallis obtained it from his friend and comrade Jeff Milton. Mr. Fallis further states the gun was loaned by him to the old Courthouse Museum in Tombstone. Another letter written in 1975 further documents Mr. Fallis’ career and the fact he was born near King Fisher, OK, and went to Texas early in his teens.
