Winchester model 1886 special order deluxe rifle, .38-56 caliber, 26” octagon barrel, full mag, rifle butt, 3X checkered burl walnut stock with pistol grip, blue and case hardened finish, plain trigger, serial #62836. The rifle shows 65% original blue on barrel and magazine tube evenly drifting and toning with some erosion and pinprick pitting on the top edge, but generally sharp metal surfaces with crisp barrel address, caliber marking, and model marking. The frame shows 30-50% case hardening drifting to silvery grey with some light rainbow colors showing mostly on the left side and where protected. The hammer and lever show 10-20% case hardening. The bolt shows 90-95% bright original blue. The loading gate shows 30-60% thinning blue. The stocks show a pronounced burl wood grain with nice high peak comb, and crisp checkering and at least 70-80% original varnish, some minor dings, mars, scratches. The original buck horn sight and large front blade sight rest in correct dovetails. The action is good, the bore is very good and still bright. An honest deluxe with a lot of color. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
