Winchester model 1873, first model special order rifle, 28” round barrel, full mag, rifle butt, set trigger, serial #19552. The barrel and magazine tube show 40-60% original blue drifting to patina with some erosion and pinprick pitting just starting. The markings are sharp, the edges fairly crisp, the rear sight is missing its elevator. The frame shows 20-30% blue mixed in with a browning patina with just beginning normal age. The loading gate shows 30-50% original blue. The hammer and lever show traces of case hardening within browning patina. The dust cover has been worn down and there peen marks added where the thumbprint has worn down, during period of use. The stocks are good with even wear, some minor imperfections, at least good overall. The set trigger is not setting. The action is good, the bore is good. A decent first model with considerable finish. Est: $4,000 - $6,000
