Winchester Second Model 1876 SRC, .45-60 cal., 22” round barrel, traces of original blue finish, folk art carved stock, #28227. The right side of the action is professionally engraved during the period of use in fancy letters that appear to be“R. G.” and the right side of the butt stock shows carving of a stag and doe in the forest while the left side of the butt stock shows a jumping stag. Metal surfaces display 20%-40% blue drifting to a light brown patina; markings are good; loadinggate shows most of its original blue; the action is good, bore is good and the gun is generally good to very good overall with a pleasing, well-maintained appearance.
