Offered in this lot is a Winchester Model 69 Bolt-Action rifle, chambered in .22 short, long, and long rifle. The Model 69 was first introduced in 1935, and was marketed as the firms mid-priced bolt-action rimfire sporting rifle, slotting nicely above the single shot rifles such as the Model 68, and beneath the prestigious Model 52. The rifle was designed by Frank F. Burton, and features a single piece walnut stock, a 25" barrel, x2 5-round box magazines, an original factory-option hooded blade/bead front sight, with a adjustable receiver mounted peep-sight, and an original hard-plastic butt-plate showing the Trade Mark Winchester Repeating Arms plaque. The rifle is marked on the left side of the barrel, reading; "Made in U.S.A. Winchester Repeating Arms CO. - New Haven, CONN - Patent Pending - Model 69 Short - Long and Long Rifle - Winchester -Trade Mark-". Overall, the rifle shows good aesthetic and mechanical condition, with minimal wear to the stock or barrel finish, and a bright bore, and tight action. This rifle qualifies as a Curio & Relic Long Gun, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check. Serial Number: NSN.
