Winchester Model 64 Lever Action Rifle
This rifle is chambered in the rare and desirable 219 Zipper cartridge. Winchester only produced this caliber in the Model 64 rifle from 1938 to 1941. The left rear of the barrel is marked with the standard proof steel, model, Winchester trade mark and caliber markings. The top of the barrel and receiver are marked with the Winchester oval proof at the breech and there is an additional "oval P" proof on the top of the barrel. (Most likely the barrel was factory replaced and the aforementioned proof verifies this finding). Ramp front sight (hood absent), adjustable King rear sporting sight, 1/2 magazine and mounted with a smooth forearm with steel end cap and pistol grip stock with a checkered steel buttplate.
