This is an early Winchester Repeating Arms Model 63 Auto Loading rifle chambered in a .22 long rifle manufctured in 1949 making it a rare Pre-64 example. The rifle features a 23 inch round barrel with dovetailed front sight and adjustable rear sight. The rifle has a straight grain walnut fore grip and pistol grip stock with tubular magazine in very good glossy finish. The barrel is marked on the left "Made in New Haven Conn, U.S. of America - Winchester Proof Steel - Winchester Trademark - Model 63 - 22 L.Rifle - Superspeed & Super - X." The model 63 was born as an altered Model 1903 for the popular .22 long rifle caliber. The rifle was manufactured in 1949. Serial Number: 83554A.
