Introduced by Winchester in 1931 the Model 21 was one of the companies finest efforts with regard to quality, reliability and strength. The model was introduced as a production line gun and moved to the custom shop in 1960 but it was in fact, a hand-built custom-made shotgun from the beginning. The Trap Grade was manufactured from 1932 to 1959 and features an ivory front bead and brass bead mid sights on the matte vent rib. The left side of the barrel is marked "MODEL 21 -WINCHESTER / --TRADEMARK --12 GAUGE 2 3/4", followed by a small "3 IN." and the trigger guard plate is marked "TRAP". The bottom of the Winchester proof steel barrels are marked "FULL" on the left side and "FULL" has been struck and "IMP. MOD." marked on the right barrel. The water table is marked with the model and address on the left side and the Winchester oval proof is marked on the right side. Single trigger with selector, ejectors, tang mounted automatic safety and mounted with a checkered beaver tail forearm and flat bottom pistol grip stock with checkered flats and wrist, high comb and Winchester recoil pad. LOP is 14 1/4".

Condition: Professionally refinished and rechambered to 3 inch. (see above). The shotgun retains 99% blue finish with a few light scratches and handling marks overall. The wood is near mint with a small area where the varnish has chipped off, overall only light handling marks and crisp checkering. The markings are clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent.
