Winchester Model 21 Double Barrel Shotgun
Introduced by Winchester in 1931, the Model 21 was one of the companies finest efforts with regard to quality, reliability and strength. The model was introduced as a production line gun and moved to the custom shop in 1960, but it was in fact, a hand-built custom-made shotgun from the beginning. This Deluxe Skeet Grade shotgun was manufactured from 1936 to 1959 and features a red front bead and silver mid bead sights on a concave matte rib barrel with 2-3/4 inch chambers and choked WS1/WS2 with ejectors. (the right barrel may have been re-choked, it gauges at a loose cylinder). The left barrel is marked "WINCHESTER - 20 GAUGE/ 2 3/4 CHAM." at the action, and the bottom of the trigger guard plate is non-factory stamped "DELUXE/SKEET". The water table is marked with the U.S. patent numbers on the right side and model designation, address on the left side, and the Winchester oval proof is marked on the right side of the water table and on each side of the barrel flat. Jeweled outer barrel flat edge and lug, single selective trigger with push button selector, tang mounted manual safety, and mounted with checkered, fancy grain walnut beavertail forearm and pistol grip stock with a hard rubber grip cap and checkered Winchester buttplate. Length of pull is 13 7/8".
