Winchester Model 1894 saddle ring carbine in .30-30 caliber showing considerable original blue finish remaining, serial number 780305 made about 1905-1910. The barrel and magazine tube show 30% to 50% original blue drifting to a natural patina finish. The frame shows traces of original blue within a dark brown. The metal surfaces are good with some minor rust and erosion and just beginning pinprick pitting. The stock shows some small losses, gouges, dings and mars consistent with being carried in a scabbard on a horse for a long way. The original carbine sight and small parts are all retained. The markings are good, action good, the bore is a little dark but may clean and is at least good. Gale Kennedy Historical West Collection. Est.: $300-$600.
