Winchester Model 1894 lever action rifle in .25-35 caliber showing 26” octagon barrel, full magazine, rifle butt, serial number 168973 made about 1900 or shortly before. The barrel and magazine tube show 75% to 85% original blue thinning and toning at the edges with good sharp corners and barrel address. The frame shows 50% to 70% original blue with some losses at the high points and edges and some minor scratches. The lever and hammer show 30% to 50% original case hardening drifting to silver gray with some good colors mixed in. The stocks are good to very good with 30% to 50% varnish, some minor dings, mars, scratches and just normal aging. The wood to metal fit is very good and still tight. The rear sight is an old replacement as is the front sight which are both in the original positions. The action is good and the bore is good but may clean to very good or better as it is dirty. A very nice Winchester rifle that has been well cared for and is far in excess of 100 years old. Est.: $750-$1500
