Winchester Model 1892 special order rifle, .25-20 cal., half-round/half-octagon barrel, takedown frame, half-magazine, checkered plain pistol grip stock, sling swivel eyelets, hard rubber shotgun butt plate,serial #288594. The barrel and magazine tube show 60-80% original blue that is evenly aging and toning. There is some very light scattered erosion and pinprick pitting. The markings are sharp, the edges are crisp. The frame shows 30-50% blue, the takedown collar and forend cap have mostly drifted. The stocks are good to very good with a light old recoating of varnish, no sanding, with excellent wood to metal fit. There are acouple of minor mars on the edges of the butt plate, traces of case hardening on hammer and lever. Original to-the-period sights and small parts retained; the takedown joint is tight. The action good, the bore very good. An unusual special order '92 with a lot of features. Est.: $2,000-$4,000

We are open Tuesday thru Friday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Little John's will be closed the Friday after the auction. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
