Winchester Model 1873 musket in .44-40 caliber with 30” barrel, all features as standard on military style musket, serial number 571646B. This musket remains in original very good plus to near fine condition. The metal surfaces show 80% to 90% bright original blue with some scattered light to heavy pitting on the barrel and rear of action and top sides of frame from poor Arsenal storage. The hammer and lever show most of their bright case hardening. The stocks are also near excellent with just a few storage marks and dents. The butt plate shows 50% to 70% case hardening. The markings and barrel address are sharp and crisp. The sights springs and loading gate show bright original blue. The action is good and the bore is bright showing almost no use.
