Winchester Model 1873 lever action rifle, .32 W.C.F. cal., 24” octagon barrel, blue finish, wood stocks, #637945 with factory letter confirming caliber and barrel shape with receipt in warehouse on July 22, 1908 and shipment from warehouse onFeb. 4, 1909 to order #193563 to R.E. Hunn, Batavia, N.Y., charged to: Salem G. Le Valley Co., Buffalo, N.Y. This gun is in overall very good to near fine condition showing considerable original blue finish, crisp action, sharpmarkings, good bore and very good stocks showing considerable original finish with scattered old mars and scratches from carry and storage. It is rare to obtain factory information on to whom a gun was shipped as the bulk of that portion of the records were lost years ago leaving only the specifications of each gun along with received/shipped warehouse dates; this ’73 would be interesting to further research.
