Winchester Model 1873 Special Order rifle, .44-40 cal., 28" octagon barrel, full magazine, blue and case hardened finish, 1X checkered wood stocks, rifle butt, in very good original condition, serial #122178A.The barrel and magazine tube show 75-85% evenly toning and aging blue finish with some minor spotting, light erosion, normal aging and a pleasing look. The edges of the barrel are sharp, the barrel address crisp. Theleft side of the action shows 50-70% case hardening, the right side shows about the same but is brighter with more colors. Top of frame shows 30-50% case hardening, bottom of frame 60-80% with some fiery colorsbeneath the lever. The stocks are very good+, show no varnish, and may have been oil finished as they are slightly dark. The checkering has been cleaned or retraced very slightly. The forend cap shows 50%+ casehardening, the butt plate shows traces of case hardening. The hammer and lever show 30-50% case hardening. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
