Winchester Model 1873, .44-40 cal., saddle ring carbine, retaining considerable original blue finish, serial #553455B. The barrel shows 90-95% original blue, thinning slightly at the muzzle and sight area. The magazineshows 80-90% blue, thinning on the edges and front. The frame shows 80-90% blue, thinning on high points and edges with some scratches that are minor. The hammer and lever show 30-50% toning case hardening, the butt plateshows case hardening drifting to gray. The bands show 30-50% thinning blue, the dust cover shows 80% thinning blue, the loading gate shows 50-60% thinning original blue. The stocks are very good+ to near fine withsome minor scratches, mars, normal aging. The wood to metal fit is excellent, correct rear sight and small parts are all retained; the action is tight, the bore is near excellent and very bright. A strong 8.5 on 1 to 10 scale and hard to find. Est.: $7,000-$14,000

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
