'Third Model, Sporting Rifle' Antique lever action repeating rifle chambered in .32-20 Winchester, manufactured circa 1891. Features a blued finish, 24" octagon barrel, dovetailed front sight with German silver blade, elevation adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight, full-length tube magazine, smooth trigger, knurled hammer spur, sliding dust cover, brass carrier marked ".32 Cal", grip safety, smooth walnut forend with metal end cap and straight grip shoulder stock with crescent metal buttplate. The barrel is marked "WINCHESTER'S REPEATING ARMS. NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A../-KING'S IMPROVEMENT PATENTED MARCH 29. 1866. OCTOBER 16. 1860-". The rifle displays some bright bluing in the protected areas with the majority of the metal surfaces displaying an aged dark brown patina. Action is sound, the bore is good with some scattered pitting, markings are good, and the wood stock are good with blemishes & minor losses. Condition is NRA Good+. ***Antique Firearm***
