Winchester Model 1866 lever action SRC, .44 cal., 20” barrel, blue finish, brass frame that is period inscribed “L. C. & N. Co.”, wood stocks, three piece cleaning rod in butt trap, #80188. This gun is in overall fine to excellent condition showing approx. 75-85% original blue on barrel, loading tube has gone to a natural patina with some original blue evident in protected areas, beautiful taffy colored brass frame, very good to finebore, crisp action, wood shows scattered wear, nicks and mars and carry from storage but very good overall. The inscription on this Winchester is definitely period or factory in our opinion and relates to theLehigh Coal and Navigation Company and a fiery period of U.S. history during the 1870’s. L. C. & N.
