Winchester Model 12, 28 gauge conversion and upgrade with 28” barrel showing raised non vent rib, full choke, serial #1643634. The gun shows a factory influenced engraving pattern with 3 gold inlays on left showing 2hunting dogs flushing bird. The right side shows 4 gold ducks in flight over water and surrounded by classic scroll and border engraving. The stocks are checkered in a factory style pattern with select burl wood. The pistol grip cap and butt plate are Winchester marked. The stock measures 14-3/8” to the end of the butt plate. The condition is fine to excellent as restored with 98% plus finish on metal, some slightstorage and handling on wood. The quality of the conversion, engraving, stocking and remarking is very good and the gun is attractive in unmarked good quality luggage type case with canvas cover. Est.:$2,500-$5,000.
