Parts correct, early production WWII era U.S. military contract semi-automatic service rifle chambered in .30 carbine, manufactured circa 1943. This carbine was produced in Winchester's first serial number block 1,000,000 - 1,349,999 and features the type 1 detachable recoil spring tube with the catch in the receiver cut all the way through. Features a parkerized finish, 18" barrel marked "[flaming bomb]/W.R.A." & "1-43"(read towards the muzzle), shrouded blade front sight, flip-up "L" dual aperture rear sight marked "S", thin barrel band, knurled push button safety, "W" marked push button magazine release, 15 round magazine stamped "SW", smooth trigger, milled triggerguard, type 1 trigger housing retaining pin, flat bolt with type 2 extractor plunger, "W" marked recoil shield, green canvas sling marked "NS", oiler stamped with "SW" inside a circle, two-rivet handguard with wide groove and smooth walnut pistol grip shoulder stock with high-wood forend, "I" cut oiler slot, textured metal buttplate, circled "P", boxed "WRA/GHD" & crossed cannons cartouche. Rifle exhibits approximately 95% of it's original parkerized finish showing light wear on around the action from the moving parts, some handling marks/scratches on the barrel and scattered brown tones from dried grease. Action is smooth, the four land bore is pristine, markings are sharp and the wood stocks are very good with some blemishes. Condition is near NRA Excellent. ***C&R Firearm***
