Vintage lever action repeating rifle chambered in .35-35 Winchester, manufactured in New Haven, CT circa 1896. Features a blued finish, the 24 3/8" octagon barrel that has been shortened, full-length tube magazine, dovetailed blade/bead front sight, (Bead is broken) buckhorn rear sight (missing elevator), smooth trigger, knurled hammer spur, steel receiver, single magazine band, smooth walnut forend with metal cap, straight grip shoulder stock with smooth metal crescent buttplate. Bore is dark/rough with rifling present. Barrel & magazine tube surfaces show full coverage of a molted dull blue/light gray color, with edge losses, scattered tiny pits, receiver shows a molted brown/gray patina with scattered light pitting. Markings are crisp. Edges of barrel flats fairly sharp. Wood is very good/sound with many minor scratches/dings. Action works well.
