William Cashmore Box Lock 20 GA 28 Double Barrel Shotgun, MFD 1921
William Cashmore Box Lock Side by Side 20 GA 28" Double Barrel Shotgun, MFD 1921

Our Assessment: William Cashmore was a well-known english gun maker from 1847 to 1957. This is a boxlock double gun made in 1921. The gun is fairly lightweight with 28" 20 gauge barrels choked Full/IM, making for a very versatile field gun. It is also in quite nice shape given its age and may well have another lifetime's worth of use left. That said, it will also make a nice addition to a collection of British doubles. Please see our pictures and good luck in your bidding!

There is scattered thinning and faint patina on the barrel set. There are scattered areas of discoloration from previous oxidation and a few minor scabs. There are some scattered spots of minor pinprick erosion. There are some little marks through the finish. The screw heads are well-defined. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun is in Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The barrel lockup is tight with no play to the receiver. This shotgun has dual triggers, an auto-safety and ejectors. We did not fire this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a more thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
