William Billinghurst Revolving Percussion Conversion Rifle
Working with Miller's patent system, Billinghurst operated out of Rochester, New York making pill-lock and percussion arms, many of the former being converted when the pill method fell out of use. Blade front and notch rear sights, with "W.BILLINGHURST/ ROCHESTER, N.Y." on the top flat behind the rear sight. Manually rotated 7-round cylinder, with the spring loaded catch mounted on the forearm and percussion nipples screwed into the pill holes. Smooth straight grip stock, with a wood ramrod, brass panel on the rear of the forearm, a pierced-through floral engraved plate on the right side of the buttstock and a smooth brass buttplate.

Condition: Fair. A mixed brown and gray patina is showing overall, with scattered handling marks, bright edge wear and spotting. Pitting is visible on and around the cylinder. Stock is fair, with a crack in the right side of the forearm and around the tang, scattered pressure dents and scratches overall. A pin is absent from the engraved accent plate. Hammer is battered, and does not hold at half cock, otherwise mechanically good.
