For your consideration is this 1891 edition of "Wild Life on the Plains and Horrors of Indian Warfare", by General George Custer and "a corps of competent authors and artists". This book was originally published in 1883 as a greatly enlarged and expounded edition to General Custer's "My Life on the Plains", which was first published in 1874 and again in 1876 after Custer's death at Little Big Horn. When the expanded version was published in 1883, as well as subsequent printings, it received this new title, but was still attributed to Custer on the cover. 1891 saw the last year for regular publishing of this book and for 1891, Custer's name was dropped from the front cover. The by line inside attributes it to "a corps of competent authors and artists". This copy is in acceptable condition--the front and back boards have been repaired with clear tape and the binding is quite loose. The front cover still looks nice, tape aside, and no pages appear to be missing. It measures 6.5" x 9.25".
