Westley Richards double rifle with box lock action, barrel marked W.R.H.V. cartridge (Westley Richards high velocity) cartridge, 400/60/400 or what is more commonly termed as .450-400 with 3 ¼” case or .450 express. The rifle shows 26” barrels, is 42 ½” overall and weighs about 10.5 lbs. The barrels are mounted with 5 leaf folding rear sights graduated from 100 to 500 yards. The barrel shows 80% to 90% original blue evenly toningand drifting at the edges with some light wear and normal use. The frame shows 30% to 50% original case hardening drifting to silver with some light but colorful areas. The checkered wood stocks are good and fairly crisp with about 50% original varnish, stocks show just some even wear. The bottom plate of the action which is secured by a single screw shows 80% original blue. The trigger guard shows 30% to 50% thinning blueand the tang is numbered 0.8812. The gun is mounted with sling swivels and remains in very good condition with tight lock up and very good bores that look like they would clean. The barrels are numbered to match and
