'Shaved Cylinder' British WWI era military revolver features 6" slab sided barrel, fixed front sight with pinned copper blade insert, notch rear sight on top latch, 6 shot fluted cylinder (appears cut at rear to allow use of 45 Auto Rim cartridges or 45 ACP in clips - more powerful than the original cartridge and hard on this revolver's action), break top style opening for loading and unloading, double/single action operation, fixed sights, square butt grip frame, checkered black plastic or hard rubber grips, lanyard ring on butt has been removed. Top latch has an added brass plate to make opening easier on the thumb. Bore is fair to good condition with dark grooves, strong rifling. Cylinder charge holes are good condition. Metal surfaces are uniformly dull gray, some mottled color with brown, bare metal on edges, generally smooth textured. Grips are good to very good condition, scratched, no visible chips or cracks. Action operates smoothly, with slightly loose lock-up. Markings are generally sharp & readable, include 1918 patent date, nitro proof marks. Condition is NRA Good+ *** C&R Firearm ***
