WWII Era British military top-break double action revolver, chambered for the British Revolver Mk 1 .38/200 cartridge. Features a blued "WAR FINISH," 5" barrel, raised round blade front sight, square notched rear sight on the barrel catch, fluted six-shot cylinder, smooth trigger, serrated wide hammer spur, square butt frame with lanyard ring and two-piece Webley marked hard rubber grips with diamond checkering. The serial numbers on the frame, barrel & cylinder are matching. Markings: Top Strap - "WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD," "MADE IN ENGLAND," & "MARK IV 38" Frame - "WAR FINISH" & "160448," & the barrel is marked with Birmingham proofs. The majority of the metal surfaces bear a soft grey patina white there are small amounts of finish retained in the protected areas. Action is sound with some play in the lock-up, the bore is bright with a bulge in the center, markings are crisp and the grips are good.
