Royal Navy issued British military top-break double action revolver chambered for .455 Webley, manufactured circa 1894-1897. Features a blued finish, 4" barrel, forged round blade front sight, notched rear sight on the barrel catch, fluted six-shot cylinder, automatic extractor, smooth trigger, knurled wide hammer spur, lanyard ring on the butt and two-piece checkered hard rubber grips. Serial numbers match on the barrel and frame with the cylinder bearing the number "1546". Markings: "N' & "6" on the top of the backstrap with lined-out "66" & "28", "WEBLEY/MARK II/PATENTS" on the frame & numerous military proofs on the major components. The revolver exhibits a lovely aged brown patina with approximately 20% of it's original blued finish retained in the protected areas. The action is smooth with some play in the lock-up, the bore is pristine with Metford style rifling, the cylinder measures 1.495" long, and the hard rubber grips are very good. Condition is NRA Very Good. ***Antique Firearm*** From The John F Sukey Collection
