Weatherby Mk5 bolt-action rifle, .330 Weatherby Mag caliber, serial #H28971. Finely custom stocked and exhibition engraved in top-quality Huey presentation grade oak and leather case. Serial #H208971. The rifle ismounted with a 3x9 Power Weatherby “Supreme” scope. The rifle is stocked in select walnut with beautiful burl wood grain, excellent quality checkering, select rosewood or hardwood forend cap and grip cap. The rifleis beautifully engraved with gold lines, matching engraved gold-inlaid mounts. The floorplate shows Indian hunting buffalo with rifle. The triggerguard shows Buffalo Bill Cody in a stylized portraiture. The qualityand workmanship is excellent throughout. The case is fitted in lined with green velveteen with full complement of accessories and engraved oil bottle, large compartments. The condition is fine to excellent showing slight use. The case shows some minor scuffs. The engraver and stocker of this rifle are not identified, but it is of top quality without a doubt made on special order for Robert Petersen.
