Established in 1871, the Deutsche Reichspost was the mail service provider for Germany through WW II, up until it was disestablished by the Allies in 1945. Known examples of DRP marked pistols are scarce. The Deutsch Reichspost property marking (DRP) is stamped on the left side of the frame. Standard Walther legend on the left side of the slide and commercial "crown/N" proofs on the slide, barrel and chamber. Checkered Walther banner wraparound grip and magazine marked with the Walther banner and having a grip extension.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 90% plus original blue finish with holster type wear. The grip is excellent with a few minor handling marks and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
