SN: 115278P Pre war commercial Model PP, manufactured 1938. Fixed sights, with the standard Walther banner, Zella-Mehlis (Thur) address, 7.65mm caliber and "Mod. PP" markings on left slide with a set of "Crown/N" proofs on the slide, muzzle and chamber hood. 90 degree safety switch. Ring hammer, smooth trigger, black checkered Walther banner grips. Included with the pistol is a unmarked brown leather Military/Police Albrecht style flap holster and two capture certificates identifying this pistol by serial number as captured enemy equipment by a 1st Lt. in the Field Artillery. First document is dated 2-13-46, where he was assigned the HQ Battery, 232 FA Battalion, where he signed a statement certifying that he was was in the E.T.O (European Theater of Operations) before V.E. Day (Victory in Europe). The second document is dated 2-19-46, where he was assigned to the 322 FA Battalion with the same ETO certification. It appears he made a mistake on the first document with his unit designation. The 322th FA Fought at Normandy, northern France, & Germany. There is also a statement from his Daughter that she inherited the pistol when her Mother passed in 2013. The bore is excellent bright, grips are excellent, action is smooth/tight, blue is about 97% with minor edge wear. Blue Walther Banner marked magazine in very good condition. A fantastic set.
