Signed Bust Hermann Goering Bust WWII Vintage. Hermann Goering was the commander in chief of the Luftwaffe and a close associate of Adolf Hitler. He was known for his lavish taste and avid enthusiasm for the outdoors. He was the highest ranking Nazi official to be tried at the Nuremberg Trials and sentenced to execution by hanging but committed suicide by cyanide the night before his execution. This bust has a golden finish over a chalk like composition. The artist’s name is inscribed clearly on the back of Goering’s neck. Hans Retzbach was a German artist that Hitler personally selected to make busts. This nonmetal bust has small chips in finish above and below the left eye, larger chip on back of left ear.
