Produced in mid-1942 marked "BYF" and "42" (see close-up), barrel marked with double "eagle/135" Waffenamt proofs and Singer eagle. Frame marked P.08 and numbers match. The safety and extractor are correctly marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" respectively. This luger is complete with two type four, all blued 'fxo' magazines with the unmarked black plastic base plug. The left side of each magazine body is marked 'fxo / eagle/37" and "P08" near the base. It is complete with a scarce late luger production '1942' dated black leather holster that is marked on the back 'eue/42/eagle WaA300' Waffenamt next to the larger 'P.08' markings.
BBL: 4 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 9 mm Luger
Finish: blue
Grips: black checkered plastic
Serial Number: 6597l
Condition: Fine as partially touched up with cold blue with 70% original blue finish on the balance with finish loss on the sides of the muzzle area, the center section of the barrel, the front of the frame rails, the top front/chamber area of the barrel extension, and on top of the toggle area. The top of the toggle area and sides of the muzzle area shows some signs of old cold blue. The grips are in fine condition with nice checkering on both sides, however appear to be modern replacements as they don't quite fit correctly and are slightly too thick. The magazines are both in excellent condition and the holster is excellent plus with nice tight stitching with excellent complete color overall with sharp markings on the back. Still a very nice example of a late WWII production luger Black Widow rig.
