This variation of P.08 Luger has the all salt blued finish with the checkered walnut grips. The top of the chamber area is dated 1940, and the front toggle is marked "42", the wartime code for the Mauser factory. The right side of the barrel extension has two "eagle/ 655" Mauser proofs next to the single "eagle/ swastika" firing proof, with an "eagle/ 655" on the left side of the barrel and "eagle/ swastika" on the right side of barrel. The underside of barrel is marked with serial number and bore diameter "8,82". Safety and extractor are marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" respectively. Left side of breechblock is marked with "eagle and swastika" test proof. It has the third model, all blue magazine with the "fxo/eagle37/P08" marks on the left side with the unmarked black plastic base with the reinforcing pin through the center.

Condition: Very fine with 75% of the original blue finish remaining overall with wear on high spots, and thinned rear grip straps. The grips are good showing even honest wear across the tops of the checkering on both sides from actual field use. Mechanically excellent.
