WWII German Army Officer's Dagger, with Knot and Hangers, 10.25" double-edged blade, maker marked with a stamped Eickhorn squirrel logo, oak leaf decorated pommel and lower band, eagle cross guard, and dark orange swirled composite grip. Around the grip, pommel, and cross guard is a long type original silver bullion dagger knot. Scabbard has a pebble-finished body with oak leaf decorated bands and rings. Dagger hangers are the deluxe type with woven silver bullion fronts, green velvet backing, silver colored, and oak leaf decorated fittings. Condition is very good, the blade being mostly bright with scattered light freckle stains and light runner marks. Cross guard and pommel show light age and a pleasing patina. Grip shows light wear and a few small scuffs. Knot is in very good condition. Scabbard is dent free with mottling to the finish on the smooth side edges and some oxidation overall. Hangers show light age and minor wear from use. Overall a very nice example. Est.: $400-$600.
