WWII GERMAN SILVER DINNER FORK FROM ADOLF
HITLER’S PERSONAL FORMAL SILVER DINNER SERVICE. This lot consists of rare and incredibly historic German silver flatware from the formal dinner service of Adolf Hitler. It has been independently authenticated and is guaranteed to be from the original Hitler service. It is part of a group that was liberated from underneath the Fuhrerbau in Munich, Germany. It was liberated in 1945 by Baros M. Milson of the 48th Combat Engineers who sent it back to the United States as a war trophy. The flatware was purchased by A.W. Wood in 1946 and subsequently purchased from Mr. Wood by Frank Gish who wrote down the provenance and had it notarized. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Included with the lot is a copy of the certificate allowing Mr. Milson to mail items home as war trophies signed by his commanding officer. On the certificate is a note attesting to the sale of the items to A.W. Wood in 1946. There is also a notarized affidavit from Frank Gish attesting to the provenance of the Hitler silver. It is rare for items of such historic significance and infamy to reach the collectors market today.
