A LANCE SERGEANT OF INFANTRY. This dress uniform for a Lance Sergeant in the 74th Infantry Regiment is a high-grade field green wool with dark green collar & cuffs. The collar, 8-button uniform front & cuffs are piped in white and trimmed with silver bullion where appropriate. The collar tabs are white with silver bullion. The breast eagle is a high-grade silver bullion example. The pants are heavy sage green wool piped on the sides in white. They are held up with military style light green suspenders. The uniform comes with a well-worn pair of German jack boots. The size 54 hat has a dark sage green crown with a dark green band and is piped in white. The front of the crown has an aluminum Army eagle and the band has an aluminum wreath with central National cockade. Leather sweatband terminated by plain black buttons. Visor is black on the face and brown on the underside. Brown sweatband and dark tan coated cotton liner. There is a diamond shaped sweat shield with a rounded end. Accompanying the uniform is an enlisted man’s belt & aluminum Army buckle. The belt has a dress bayonet with knot attached. The uniform comes with a display mannequin. CONDITION: the uniform shows light wear overall and the jack boots show moderate wear. The hat has minor scattered moth damage but remains quite solid. The belt & bayonet show light wear.
