Manufactured 1912, this pistol was one of 450 shipped to the Augusta Arsenal, Augusta, Georgia on December 6, 1912. The left side of the slide is marked with the two line, two block 1897-1911 patent dates and address, with the circled Rampant Colt behind the serrations, the left side of the frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" , with the circled WGP" inspection mark of Major Walter G. Penfield, and "MODEL OF 1911.U.S.ARMY" is marked on the right side of the slide. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number. The barrel chamber is unmarked and there is a "H" at the top of the hammer slot. Fixed sights, lanyard ring on the heel, unmarked two tone magazine with a lanyard loop on the bottom and fitted with checkered walnut grips with diamond pattern around the screws.

Condition: Professionally restored to near mint condition. The magazine has also been refurbished. The grips are excellent with sharp checkering. The markings are highlighted in white and remain clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent.
