Manufactured 1916. Only one block of 1911 pistols were manufactured in 1916 with a total production of 4,213. This pistol was shipped as one of 1,000 to the Springfield Armory on November 16, 1916. The left side of the slide is marked with the two line, two block 1897-1913 patent dates and address, with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations, the left side of the frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" , and "MODEL OF 1911.U.S.ARMY" is marked on the right side of the slide. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number and the left side is marked with the "circled "GHS" inspection mark of Major Gilbert H. Stewart. The barrel chamber is marked with an "H" and "P" and there is a "S" at the top of the hammer slot. Fixed sights, lanyard ring on the heel, unmarked two tone magazine and fitted with checkered walnut grips with diamond pattern around the screws.

Condition: Professionally restored to near mint condition. The grips are excellent with a few light handling marks and sharp checkering. The magazine has also been restored and remains very good. The markings are highlighted in white and remain clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent.
