Featured in this lot we have a original World War II German Army Officers Eickhorn ceremonial sword with metal scabbard originating from 1889 to 1918. The sword shows a straight stainless steel blade with a double fuller running down the blade. The Handle shows a steel D guard and folding langet with a wire wrapped grip and leather finger loop. The grip shows the Royal Monogram insignia for Kaiser Wilhelm II with the folding langet guard embossed with the Prussian Eagle coat of arms. The blade is marked with "C.E." with what appears to be squirrels or foxes indicating that the piece was made by Car Eickhorn. The scabbard shows steel construction with black paint job that has mostly worn off. The sword shows good condition overall with some signs of wear due to age and use. The sword measures 34 1/2" long overall with the blade measuring 28 1/2" long.
