WWI Era German Artillery Luger, no serial number visible, with commercial markings, by DWM, 9mm, 8'' barrel, blue finish with straw-colored small parts, checkered walnut grips, and wood-based nickel-plated magazine. Safety marked ''Geischert'', extractor marked ''Geladen'', ''Germany'' over chamber area and at base of magazine, DWM to central toggle link, with standard Artillery rear and brass bead front sights without fine-tune adjustment screw. Condition is fine to near excellent retaining approx. 94% early type rust blue, thinning to sideplate, minor wear at high edges, with blue trigger. Grips with light to moderate flattening and small loss beneath axle pin of thumb safety. Action is crisp, bore is fine. As this pistol has never been serialized, it falls into the ''prototype'' category for registration purposes. Est.: $1,800-$2,400. (C&R)
