#NSN; Antique. Patd' Mark Nov 20th 1877. It is a 4mm single shot target gun w/approx. 24" oct. bbl. & loads by pulling out a 10" insert at end of bbl, which then is loaded & slid back into bbl. shroud. Then an approx. 16" firing pin is used in the bbl. to ignite the cartridge. Frame is brass w/dbl. set triggers. Walnut stock & fore end. A very unusual early US Gallery gun. William Wurfflein was well known in Philadelphia PA in 1880-1890's as a manufacturer of high end small cal. rifles.
